Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Id-KLH-pulsed dendritic cells are an autologous dendritic cell therapy where dendritic cells are loaded (pulsed) ex vivo with a patient-specific tumor idiotype protein that has been conjugated to the immunogenic carrier protein keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). This approach targets the unique clonal immunoglobulin (idiotype, Id) expressed by B-cell lymphomas, aiming to induce anti-tumor immunity. The therapy is designed to stimulate both cellular (T-cell mediated) and humoral (antibody-mediated) anti-idiotype responses, leading to tumor regression. The therapy has primarily been studied in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, including follicular lymphoma, and is considered an experimental personalized cancer vaccine and immunotherapy[1].
