Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ID1200430002 is a small-molecule potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) being developed by Ildong Pharmaceutical, through its R&D subsidiary Yunovia, in collaboration with Daewoong Pharmaceutical. The drug is designed to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) by inhibiting the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump). Unlike traditional proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) that require acid activation and bind irreversibly to the pump, P-CABs like ID1200430002 bind competitively and reversibly to the potassium-binding site. This mechanism typically results in a faster onset of action, longer duration of acid suppression, and better control of nocturnal acid breakthrough compared to conventional therapies. As of early 2024, the drug has reached the IND-filed stage, moving toward clinical evaluation.
