IDC2401

IDC2401 is a monoclonal antibody biosimilar of ustekinumab (Stelara), currently in preclinical development by Prestige Biopharma (PBK). It is designed to target the p40 subunit shared by the pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23). By binding to this subunit, IDC2401 prevents these cytokines from interacting with their shared receptor, IL-12Rβ1, thereby inhibiting the signaling pathways that lead to the activation of Th1 and Th17 cells. This mechanism is effective in treating immune-mediated inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis and Crohn's disease. As a biosimilar, IDC2401 is intended to demonstrate highly similar efficacy, safety, and quality to the reference product, Stelara.
