Overview

IDC2402 is a biosimilar candidate of dulaglutide (Trulicity), a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist. Developed by Prestige Biopharma (PBK), it is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of two identical disulfide-linked chains, each containing a human GLP-1 analogue sequence covalently linked to a modified human immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) heavy chain fragment (Fc). This structural design mimics the action of endogenous GLP-1 while significantly extending the molecule's half-life, enabling once-weekly subcutaneous administration. IDC2402 is intended for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control by stimulating insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
