Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IDC2501 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody candidate developed by Prestige Biopharma (PBK) that targets the interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα) subunit. By binding to IL-4Rα, IDC2501 inhibits the signaling of both interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are key cytokines in the Type 2 inflammatory pathway. This mechanism is intended to treat allergic and inflammatory conditions such as atopic dermatitis and asthma. As a biosimilar to dupilumab (Dupixent), IDC2501 is designed to provide a therapeutic alternative with the same mechanism of action and clinical efficacy as the reference product. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
