Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IDC2502 is a monoclonal antibody biosimilar candidate being developed by Prestige Biopharma (PBK). It is designed to target the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23), a cytokine that plays a central role in the pathogenesis of several immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. By blocking IL-23, the drug inhibits the activation and maintenance of Th17 cells, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-17 and IL-22. As a biosimilar to risankizumab (Skyrizi), IDC2502 is intended for the treatment of conditions such as plaque psoriasis and Crohn's disease. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
