Overview

IDE is a preclinical-stage recombinant IgG-degrading enzyme (protease) being developed by Adaxion Therapeutics for the treatment of IgG-driven disorders. Engineered using Adaxion's proprietary ADAx platform, which incorporates CD22 ligands to eliminate drug-specific B cells and reduce immunogenicity, IDE is designed to proteolytically cleave and degrade pathogenic IgG antibodies. This rapid enzymatic cleavage eliminates Fc-mediated effector functions and transiently reduces circulating IgG levels, offering a potential therapeutic approach for various autoimmune and IgG-mediated diseases with reduced risk of anti-drug antibody (ADA) formation.
