Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination therapy** consisting of **idecabtagene vicleucel**, a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) product targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) on multiple myeloma cells, and **iberdomide**, a small molecule cereblon E3 ligase modulator (CELMoD). Idecabtagene vicleucel is designed to recognize and eliminate BCMA-expressing malignant plasma cells, resulting in direct antitumor activity. Iberdomide modulates the CRL4-CRBN E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, promoting proteasomal degradation of transcription factors like Ikaros (IKZF1) and Aiolos (IKZF3), which reduces their levels and enhances T-cell and immune activation as well as inhibits multiple myeloma cell proliferation. This combination is being studied as maintenance therapy following idecabtagene vicleucel CAR-T therapy in **relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma**[1][3][5][6].
