IDH1 SCA-VAC is a peptide-based cancer vaccine developed by Tcelltech, specifically designed to target the IDH1 R132H neoantigen found in high-grade gliomas (WHO grade 3 and 4). The vaccine consists of a peptide sequence encompassing the R132H mutation site of the isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) protein. By presenting this shared clonal neoepitope to the immune system, the vaccine aims to elicit a robust, tumor-specific T-cell response, particularly involving mutation-specific T-helper cells, to recognize and eliminate glioma cells. As of 2026, the drug has completed Phase 1 clinical testing and is transitioning into Phase 2 development.
