IDP-118 Vehicle Lotion

IDP-118 Vehicle Lotion is a topical placebo formulation developed by Bausch Health Americas, Inc. for use as a comparator in clinical trials. It is the inactive vehicle control for IDP-118 Lotion, which is a fixed-dose combination of the corticosteroid halobetasol propionate (0.01%) and the retinoid tazarotene, later approved under the brand name Duobrii. The vehicle lotion contains the same excipients as the active drug product but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredients. It was primarily utilized in Phase 2 and Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the active formulation in patients with plaque psoriasis, serving to establish a baseline for therapeutic effect and safety monitoring.
