Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IDP-120 vehicle gel is a topical placebo formulation developed by Bausch Health (through its Ortho Dermatologics division) for use in clinical trials. It serves as the comparator for IDP-120 Gel, which is a fixed-dose combination of tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide. The vehicle gel contains the same inactive ingredients as the active drug product but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredients. It was utilized in Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of IDP-120 in patients aged 9 years and older with moderate to severe acne vulgaris. As a vehicle control, it has no therapeutic activity or biological target.
