Overview

IDR-1002 is a synthetic innate defense regulator (IDR) peptide developed by ABT Innovations. It functions as a host-directed immunomodulatory agent designed to regulate innate immune responses and provide anti-inflammatory effects. Unlike traditional anti-inflammatory drugs that may cause broad immunosuppression, IDR peptides like IDR-1002 are intended to balance the immune response by selectively modulating signaling pathways. This mechanism makes it a potential candidate for adjunctive therapy in infections, as well as a treatment for asthma and other inflammatory disorders. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
