Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IFB01 is a preclinical-stage sactipeptide therapeutic being developed by Interface Biosciences. Sactipeptides (sulfur-to-alpha-carbon thioether-containing peptides) are a class of ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs), often derived from the human microbiome, that possess unique structural stability and biological activity. IFB01 is specifically designed to target and activate the innate immune system. It is currently undergoing optimization for the treatment of innate immune deficiency disorders, inflammatory conditions, and various types of cancer (oncology). The drug represents a novel approach in microbiome-derived peptide therapeutics aimed at modulating host immune responses.
