Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IFM-4490 is a preclinical small-molecule antagonist of the Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) protein, developed by IFM Due (a subsidiary of IFM Therapeutics). It is designed to target the cGAS-STING pathway to treat autoinflammatory and inflammatory diseases, with its primary active indication being STING-associated vasculopathy with onset in infancy (SAVI). In preclinical studies, IFM-4490 has also been investigated for its potential to suppress hepatic stellate cell activation and mitigate hepatic fibrosis in models of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The development of IFM-4490 is part of IFM Due's cGAS/STING antagonist program, which is subject to an option and collaboration agreement with Novartis.
