Overview

**IFN-γ-Dex** is an investigational, autologous dendritic cell-derived exosome immunotherapy developed as a second-generation Dex cancer vaccine. It consists of exosomes released by patient-derived monocyte-derived dendritic cells matured ex vivo with interferon gamma and loaded with MHC class I and class II tumor-antigen peptides, including MAGE-A1, MAGE-A3, NY-ESO-1, and Melan-A/MART1 epitopes. In the Phase 2 maintenance-immunotherapy study after platinum-based chemotherapy for unresectable non-small cell lung cancer, the product was administered intradermally and primarily enhanced NKp30-dependent natural killer-cell activity; it did not produce a clearly detectable antigen-specific T-cell response. The trial did not meet its prespecified 4-month progression-free-survival endpoint. ([clinicaltrials.gov](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT01159288))
