IFN-gamma-secreting HAdV antigen specific T cells is an investigational adoptive cellular immunotherapy being developed by Mari Dallas for the treatment of refractory human adenovirus (HAdV) infections in patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The therapy involves the selection of donor-derived T cells that specifically recognize HAdV antigens and secrete interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) upon activation. These selected cells are isolated from a compatible donor using the CliniMACS Prodigy System and infused into the recipient to restore virus-specific cellular immunity. This approach aims to provide a targeted immune response to clear the viral infection in immunocompromised patients who have failed standard antiviral treatments.
