Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IFN-Zika is an experimental live-attenuated vaccine candidate being developed by Canthevac for the prevention of Zika virus infection. The vaccine is designed using Canthevac's proprietary Interferon-integrated Vaccine Platform (IVP), which incorporates interferon activity directly into the vaccine construct. This integration is intended to stimulate a robust immune response, including both B-cell and T-cell immunity, while maintaining safety by utilizing interferon's natural antiviral properties to control vaccine replication. IFN-Zika is currently in preclinical development.
