Overview

This is a multi-agent chemotherapy combination consisting of six cytotoxic drugs: **ifosfamide** (an alkylating agent), **vincristine** (a vinca alkaloid), **actinomycin D** (dactinomycin, an antitumor antibiotic), **epirubicin** (an anthracycline), **carboplatin** (a platinum-based agent), and **etoposide** (a topoisomerase II inhibitor). These drugs act via multiple mechanisms to inhibit the proliferation or induce the death of rapidly dividing cancer cells. While this exact combination is not a standard named regimen, similar multi-drug regimens (such as ICE, VICE, CEVAIE, or VDC/IE) are used in pediatric and adult oncology, especially for aggressive or refractory sarcomas and some small cell cancers. The combination aims to achieve synergistic antineoplastic effects, reduce resistance, and improve outcomes in high-risk or relapsed cancers[1][3][4][5][6].
