Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IFX-145 is an investigational cyclic amphiphilic peptide derived from a rationally designed template intended to generate broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents. It belongs to a library of more than 200 cyclic amphiphilic peptides (including IFX-027, IFX-135, IFX-145, IFX-146, and others) that were optimized for enhanced antimicrobial activity while maintaining low hemolytic toxicity against human red blood cells, and non-toxicity in animal studies at relevant dose levels.[7][3] The peptide is being explored preclinically as a potential broad-spectrum anti-infective agent, but detailed target, indication, and clinical development data specific to IFX-145 have not yet been disclosed publicly.[7][3]
