Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IG301 is a preclinical-stage, in vivo chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy platform being developed by Ingenium Therapeutics in collaboration with Yale University. It utilizes a fusion cytokine-based, fifth-generation CAR-encoding mRNA delivered via a non-lipid nanoparticle (specifically, a polyplex-based "Proteinplex" gene delivery system) to directly reprogram endogenous NK cells in vivo. This approach bypasses the complexities and high costs of ex vivo cell manufacturing, enabling transient CAR expression and targeted cytotoxicity against solid tumors. The delivery system is designed to target specific organs, including the liver, lung, and pancreas, while avoiding systemic immunogenicity.
