Overview

**IGC-AD1** is an investigational, orally administered liquid fixed-dose combination of low-dose delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and melatonin developed by IGC Pharma for agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. The cannabinoid component is intended to modulate cannabinoid receptor signaling, particularly CB1 receptor activity, while melatonin provides melatonin-receptor agonism; the formulation is also being investigated for anti-inflammatory and potential anti-amyloid and anti-tau effects. IGC-AD1 is being evaluated in the multicenter randomized CALMA Phase 2 trial for Alzheimer's disease-related agitation.
