Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IGCAR is a preclinical-stage, 5th generation in vivo chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy being developed by Ingenium Therapeutics. Unlike traditional ex vivo CAR therapies that require complex laboratory modification of extracted cells, IGCAR utilizes a proprietary Polyplex mRNA delivery system to deliver CAR-encoding mRNA directly into the patient's endogenous natural killer cells. This approach aims to induce CAR expression in vivo, potentially simplifying the manufacturing process and increasing accessibility. The therapy is currently being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors, although the specific CAR target has not been publicly disclosed.
