IGF2BP2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2). In the context of endometrial cancer (EC), IGF2BP2 has been identified as a key driver of cell proliferation and tumor growth, particularly in refractory cases. By targeting IGF2BP2 mRNA for degradation, this siRNA inhibits the activation of the NF-kB signaling pathway, thereby suppressing oncogenic processes. Research conducted at Osaka University has demonstrated that IGF2BP2 knockdown significantly reduces tumor growth in both in vitro and in vivo models, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy for treatment-resistant endometrial cancer.
