IGFBP7-AS1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7-antisense 1 (IGFBP7-AS1). In glioblastoma research, IGFBP7-AS1 has been identified as a significant prognostic marker associated with poor overall survival and the enrichment of gene sets related to the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and the p53 pathway. Experimental knockdown of this lncRNA using siRNA has been demonstrated to inhibit the viability, migration, and invasion of glioma cell lines, such as U87 and U251, in vitro. This suggests that targeting the IGFBP7-AS1/p53/EMT axis may represent a potential therapeutic strategy for managing malignant brain tumors.
