IgG-FL800 is a near-infrared fluorescent (NIRF) imaging probe consisting of a non-specific mouse immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody conjugated to the fluorophore IRDye800CW. It was developed as a negative control agent for use in preclinical studies evaluating targeted NIRF probes, such as 5B1-FL800 (an anti-CA19.9 antibody conjugate). Because the IgG component does not target a specific antigen, IgG-FL800 serves to measure non-specific accumulation and background signal in tumor and healthy tissues during intraoperative imaging research, particularly in models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The conjugate is typically created via lysine residue conjugation with IRDye800CW-NHS esters.
