IgG-RFB4-SMPT-dgA is an immunotoxin consisting of deglycosylated ricin A chain (dgA) coupled to the monoclonal antihuman CD22 antibody RFB4 via a sterically hindered disulfide linker (SMPT). It selectively targets CD22-positive B-cell malignancies, where the ricin A chain component inhibits protein synthesis in target cells, leading to cell death. This agent has demonstrated antitumor activity in clinical trials for B-cell lymphomas.
