Overview

IgG1Rh113 is a monoclonal anti-D (anti-RhD) antibody of the IgG1 isotype, developed as a potential alternative to polyclonal anti-D immune globulin. It acts by binding to the Rhesus D antigen on red blood cells, aiming to inhibit Fc receptor-mediated phagocytosis of platelets—a mechanism relevant in autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (AITP). Studies indicate that IgG1Rh113 can significantly reduce phagocytosis of opsonized platelets, suggesting potential utility in the treatment of AITP and possibly other conditions where anti-D immunoglobulin is used[1].
