Overview

IGN301 is a cancer vaccine developed as an anti-idiotypic monoclonal antibody designed to provoke an immune response against the Lewis Y antigen. The Lewis Y antigen is a carbohydrate molecule highly expressed on the surface of various epithelial tumors. By mimicking this tumor-associated antigen, IGN301 stimulates the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells expressing Lewis Y. The drug was primarily investigated for use in neoplasms (solid tumors), particularly epithelial cancers[1][2][3][4].
