Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IgPro10 is a highly purified, ready-to-use liquid formulation of human normal immunoglobulin G (IVIG) at a concentration of 10%. It is stabilized with the amino acid L-proline and manufactured from pooled human plasma using octanoic acid fractionation and chromatography. The product undergoes additional isoagglutinin reduction steps to minimize hemolytic risk. IgPro10 acts by providing passive immunity through a broad spectrum of antibodies against various pathogens and modulates immune responses via multiple mechanisms including Fc receptor blockade, complement inhibition, neutralization of autoantibodies, and modulation of cytokine production. It is primarily indicated for primary immunodeficiency (PID), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), Kawasaki disease (KD), myasthenia gravis (MG), and other conditions requiring immunomodulation or antibody replacement[1][3][5][6][8][9][10].
