Overview

IGT-532 is a potent, orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the OX40 ligand (OX40L), also known as CD252. Developed by Inmagene Biopharmaceuticals, the drug is designed to treat inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as atopic dermatitis. By binding to OX40L, IGT-532 prevents its interaction with the OX40 receptor (CD134) expressed on activated T cells. This blockade inhibits the expansion and survival of effector T cells and reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby modulating the immune response without broad immunosuppression. The development of an oral small molecule targeting this pathway offers a potential alternative to injectable monoclonal antibodies currently in the clinic.
