iguratimod + methotrexate

Iguratimod + methotrexate is a fixed drug combination used primarily for the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis (RA), especially in patients with an inadequate response to conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Iguratimod is a small molecule immunomodulatory agent that inhibits nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) activation, leading to reduced production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, TNF-alpha, and IL-17. It also inhibits cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) selectively and modulates immune cell function, including B cell activity and osteoclast differentiation.
