IGX12 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody developed by Igyxos Biotherapeutics for the treatment of infertility in both men and women. Its unique mechanism of action involves binding to both the alpha and beta subunits of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), stabilizing the FSH dimer, and enhancing its interaction with the Follicle stimulating hormone receptor. This results in increased activation by endogenous or exogenous FSH, thereby boosting its potency and efficacy. The drug aims to improve outcomes in assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF by increasing ovulation success rates while potentially reducing the need for multiple FSH injections. IGX12 entered Phase I clinical trials in late 2023 following IND-enabling studies[1][2][3][6][7].
