Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IgYGate DC-PG is a functional health food and oral care dietary supplement formulated as lozenges to support teeth and gum health. Developed by EW Nutrition Japan and distributed by Dong Do Pharmaceutical, the product contains two specific egg yolk immunoglobulin Y (IgY) antibodies, Ovalgen DC and Ovalgen PG, alongside xylitol. Ovalgen DC targets the glucosyltransferase (GTase) enzyme of *Streptococcus mutans* to inhibit bacterial adhesion and dental plaque formation, thereby preventing dental caries. Ovalgen PG targets the gingipain protease of *Porphyromonas gingivalis* to prevent gum tissue degradation and inflammation, thereby supporting the prevention and treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. Xylitol acts synergistically to neutralize oral acids and reduce bacterial growth.
