IHMT-PI3Kδ-372 is a preclinical **small-molecule** phosphoinositide 3-kinase delta selective inhibitor developed as an inhaled anti-inflammatory candidate for **chronic obstructive pulmonary disease**. In the 2020 *Journal of Medicinal Chemistry* disclosure, the compound was identified as the potent and selective PI3Kδ inhibitor also referred to as **(S)-18**, with reported biochemical PI3Kδ inhibition in the low-nanomolar range and selectivity over other class I PI3K isoforms, along with favorable properties for inhaled delivery in rodent pulmonary inflammation models. The program appears to be an early discovery-stage respiratory asset rather than an approved or clinically established drug.
