Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IHS002 is a recombinant human acidic fibroblast growth factor (rh-aFGF) developed by Wuxi Huatai Innovative Drug Technology Research Institute. As a potent mitogen, it stimulates the proliferation and migration of various cell types essential for tissue repair, including fibroblasts, vascular endothelial cells, and keratinocytes. By binding to and activating fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), IHS002 promotes angiogenesis and accelerates the healing of both acute and chronic wounds. The drug is primarily being investigated for the treatment of deep second-degree burns, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers, and is typically administered as a topical gel or solution.
