Overview

iHSC010 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy developed by Cell Inspire Biotechnology for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The therapy utilizes hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that have been genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting G-protein coupled receptor class C group 5 member D (GPRC5D). GPRC5D is an orphan receptor highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, making it a selective target for immunotherapy. To enhance the therapeutic profile, iHSC010 is further modified to secrete Interleukin-15 (IL-15), a cytokine that supports the survival, expansion, and cytotoxic activity of immune cells within the bone marrow microenvironment. This iPSC-based approach aims to provide a standardized, off-the-shelf alternative to autologous cell therapies.
