Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The II-KEY-SARS-CoV-2 peptide vaccine is a synthetic multi-peptide COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed using the patented Ii-Key technology. This approach links immunogenic SARS-CoV-2 viral epitopes (peptides) to the Ii-Key moiety, which enhances antigen presentation and immune activation. The design aims to stimulate both cellular (T cell) and humoral (antibody) immune responses by presenting multiple HLA class II-restricted peptides from different SARS-CoV-2 proteins. The goal is to induce broad-spectrum protective immunity with long-lasting immunologic memory while minimizing off-target immune responses such as cytokine storm. The development strategy includes ex-vivo screening of candidate peptides for optimal T-cell and B-cell activation before clinical use[1][2][3].
