Overview

Ii-Key-TYR is an investigational **synthetic peptide cancer vaccine** built by covalently linking the Ii-Key segment derived from the MHC class II invariant chain to a **tyrosinase-derived helper T-cell epitope** from melanoma. The design is intended to enhance loading of the peptide into **MHC class II** molecules and thereby amplify **CD4-positive T-cell** activation against tyrosinase-expressing melanoma cells. Published preclinical work from Antigen Express describes Ii-Key melanoma peptide hybrids as more potent than epitope-only peptides in stimulating helper T-cell responses, but the exact clinical identity and development history of a standalone product specifically named Ii-Key-TYR are only sparsely documented. The most plausible intended indication is **melanoma**, particularly tyrosinase-expressing disease, and the modality is best characterized as a peptide immunotherapy or therapeutic cancer vaccine rather than an approved pharmaceutical product.
