Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iISLET is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived islet cell therapy being developed by All Life Biotechnology for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes and other conditions involving insulin deficiency or demyelination. The therapy involves the differentiation of iPSCs into functional, insulin-producing islet cells, which are then transplanted into the patient. The primary goal is to restore endogenous insulin production and achieve long-term glycemic control, potentially eliminating the need for external insulin injections. It is currently in early-phase clinical development, with trials exploring its efficacy in both diabetes and demyelinating diseases.
