Overview

IK-0714 is a preclinical-stage small molecule agonist of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR). Originally developed by Ikena Oncology, the compound was part of a research program focused on the AHR pathway, which is known to influence immune cell differentiation and the tumor microenvironment. While AHR antagonists are more commonly developed for oncology to stimulate immune responses, AHR agonists like IK-0714 can be used to explore different immunomodulatory effects. In November 2024, Ikena Oncology sold IK-0714 and another AHR agonist, IK-1259, to an undisclosed venture capital firm for $1.5 million. At the time of the sale, the program was not in active development.
