Overview

**IKKβ siRNA** refers to a small interfering RNA (siRNA) compound that specifically targets the messenger RNA (mRNA) of the *inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit beta* (IKKβ) gene. IKKβ is a protein kinase that plays a key role in the activation of the **NF-κB signaling pathway**, which is involved in cellular responses to inflammation, immunity, stress, and cell survival. By introducing siRNA molecules designed to be complementary to the IKKβ mRNA, IKKβ expression can be transiently and efficiently **silenced** via the RNA interference (RNAi) mechanism—leading to decreased translation of IKKβ protein and subsequent inhibition of downstream NF-κB activity[1][2][3][4][5].
