IL-10-Fc is a recombinant fusion protein that combines interleukin-10 (IL-10), an anti-inflammatory cytokine, with the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG). The Fc domain extends the circulating half-life of IL-10 *in vivo*. IL-10-Fc retains the biological functions of IL-10, including potent immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory effects. It acts primarily by inhibiting proinflammatory cytokine production from antigen-presenting cells such as monocytes and macrophages, suppressing their ability to present antigens and reducing expression of MHC class II and co-stimulatory molecules. In preclinical studies, IL-10-Fc has also been shown to modulate T cell metabolism and enhance CD8+ T cell function in cancer models. The main therapeutic indications under investigation include autoimmune diseases (such as inflammatory bowel disease) and cancer immunotherapy.
