IL-13Rα2 UCAR-T cell injection is an allogeneic, universal chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (UCAR-T) therapy designed to target the interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2 (IL-13Rα2). IL-13Rα2 is a cell-surface protein that is highly overexpressed in the majority of high-grade gliomas, including glioblastoma, but is absent or expressed at very low levels in normal brain tissue, making it a promising therapeutic target. As a universal CAR-T product, these cells are derived from healthy donors and engineered to minimize graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and host-mediated rejection, allowing for an off-the-shelf treatment model. The therapy is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced glioma to assess its safety, persistence, and preliminary efficacy.
