Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**IL-15-tSC-NK complexes** are an investigational, preclinical engineered cell therapy comprising natural killer cells bioorthogonally conjugated to tumor-tropic adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells that have been transiently engineered with lipid nanoparticle-delivered IL-15 mRNA. The mesenchymal stem-cell carrier promotes tumor localization, while locally produced interleukin-15 supports NK-cell survival, activation, infiltration, and cytotoxic function within the tumor microenvironment. The construct showed antitumor activity in orthotopic murine lung-cancer and patient-derived xenograft ovarian-cancer models, and its activity was enhanced by Galectin-9 blockade in the reported preclinical studies.
