Overview
IL-15SA + IL-15RαSu-Fc is a novel immunotherapeutic fusion protein complex comprising a mutant interleukin-15 (IL-15N72D, known as IL-15 superagonist) bound to an IL-15 receptor alpha sushi domain fused to the Fc region of human IgG1. This engineered molecule, also known as ALT-803 or Ankiva, mimics the natural trans-presentation mechanism of IL-15 and achieves improved pharmacokinetics, potency, and immune activation compared to native IL-15. The drug stimulates expansion and activation of NK cells and CD8+ T cells, enhancing tumor immune surveillance and anti-tumor activity. Its primary development is for cancer immunotherapy, particularly in hematologic and solid tumors, and it is being investigated, including in combination with checkpoint inhibitors, in preclinical and clinical settings[1][3][5].
