Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IL-2 pre-treated CD19 CAR-T cells are an investigational cell therapy developed by Jiang Jingting for the treatment of refractory or chemotherapy-resistant CD19+ B-cell lymphoma. The therapy involves T cells engineered with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19, featuring a CD28 costimulatory domain and a TCRζ signaling domain. A distinguishing feature of this specific product is the ex vivo stimulation and expansion of the CAR-T cells using Interleukin-2 (IL-2) prior to patient infusion. This approach is being clinically evaluated to determine if IL-2 pre-treatment enhances the safety, efficacy, and persistence of the CAR-T cells compared to other cytokine stimulation protocols, such as those using IL-7 and IL-15.
