IL-2V6 (often associated with the code KM-001) is an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLTR1), currently under development by Ildong Pharmaceutical in collaboration with K-Mab and I-Mab. CysLTR1 is a G protein-coupled receptor traditionally associated with inflammatory conditions like asthma, but it is also frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including colorectal, pancreatic, and lung cancers. In the tumor microenvironment, CysLTR1 signaling promoted by leukotrienes can drive tumor cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis, and metastasis. By specifically binding to and antagonizing CysLTR1, IL-2V6 aims to inhibit these pro-tumorigenic pathways and potentially enhance anti-tumor immune responses. The drug is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
