Overview
IL-6 pathway agonist is a preclinical biologic program being developed by Cyrus Bioscience. Utilizing their proprietary protein design platform, which is based on the Rosetta software suite, Cyrus has engineered this molecule to specifically activate the interleukin-6 (IL-6) signaling pathway. While the IL-6 pathway is commonly targeted with antagonists to treat inflammatory and autoimmune disorders, agonists are being investigated for their potential therapeutic benefits in tissue protection, regenerative medicine (such as liver regeneration), and specific immune modulation.
