Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IL-PGI003 is an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed through a collaboration between Ildong Pharmaceutical and I-Mab via their joint venture, K-Mab. As an immune checkpoint inhibitor, IL-PGI003 is designed to bind to PD-L1 on the surface of tumor cells, thereby blocking its interaction with the PD-1 receptor on T cells. This blockade prevents the activation of the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling pathway, which is often exploited by cancer cells to suppress the host immune response. By neutralizing this checkpoint, IL-PGI003 aims to restore and enhance T-cell-mediated anti-tumor activity. It is currently being explored for the treatment of various cancers and potentially certain immune-related disorders.
