The IL15-DC Vaccine is an autologous dendritic cell-based cancer immunotherapy in which patient-derived dendritic cells are cultured and differentiated in the presence of interleukin-15 (IL-15), rather than the conventional interleukin-4. These dendritic cells are then loaded with tumor-associated antigens and administered to patients as a therapeutic vaccine. The use of IL-15 during DC differentiation enhances their ability to prime both innate and adaptive immune responses, particularly by stimulating cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes and gamma delta (γδ) T cells, as well as natural killer (NK) cell activity[4][5][8]. This approach aims to improve anti-tumor immunity compared to traditional DC vaccines. The vaccine has been investigated primarily for post-remission therapy in acute myeloid leukemia (AML)[6] and for adjuvant treatment in resected melanoma[1][8]. Clinical studies have demonstrated feasibility, safety, and promising immunogenicity.
